BIOGRAPHY

My name is Irene and I was born on 05/14/1992 in La Spezia, a small town overlooking the sea. Since I was a little girl I knew that I would have had a job in which creativity would have been dominant. I studied graphics at High School of Arts and subsequently I was admitted to a small but important university: ISIA of Florence. I graduated with First-Class Honors on 03/03/2015 and from that day I worked on personal projects. After about a year I moved to Bremen, Germany. During my time there, I did two internships. These experiences allowed me to immerse myself completely in German culture and modus operandi. After that, I decided to return to Italy and after a few weeks I moved to Milan to collaborate with Leftloft. Since September 2019, I am a teacher at the IED University of Milan and I teach Complex Design.

Branding

Personal Branding

This project started in 2020. Given the uncommon situation we all found ourselves in, I thought I’d take advantage of the time available to brush up on my curriculum and portfolio and to create a website that mirrored me. I created simple and clean designs, using the black and white dichotomy to highlight the Italian/English language change.

I created the ArtCircle logo, the coordinated image, the website and various designs for the first exhibition. DSM Museum

This is a project that I conceived during my internship at GfG, Bremen. It was a tender we won, in fact at the moment all communication uses the logo I designed. The Brief asked to create a logo for the Bremerhaven Marittime Museum that represented the relationship between man and the sea. This is a topic which is very dear to me, as my relationship with the sea is intense and rooted.

Veganboy

The Veganboy project was born very spontaneously and gave me the opportunity to work on a topic dear to me. I have been a vegan for 10 years now and in the last five years I have lost a lot of weight, so I thought of going to a personal trainer to improve my physical health and minimize the damage caused by the drastic weight loss.

Working For Sports

This work was born from the collaboration with a dear childhood friend. The brief required to create a simple, elegant, but at the same time captivating identity that would subtly indicate the company’s purpose. The idea for the main visual was to resume the sinuous shapes of the pipes, creating an extremely minimalistic but yet refined texture.
